Digital Imaging Exploration

In the course Digital Imaging, I learned all about Photoshop and it's capabilities, not only as a photo editor, but also what it can do to manipulate found images into an original finished piece. This course allowed me to solve problems while given project parameters as well as create my own concepts and parameters to follow.

Throughout the six different projects in this course, I learned how to use both analog and digital processes together to create a unique, multi-faceted piece. With the first project, we were assigned to scan a page of a book that was mostly image to then create a series of three separate but connected compositions. I scanned a page that contained both text and image to have a variety of elements to work with. In this project, I learned how to add and subtract to a elements of an image to create an entirely new composition. This was a jumping point for me on how I could use images in a composition.
